IAPP Konferenz Washington: Aufnahme der Vorträge

[IITR – 15.04.22] Die IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) organisierte am 12. und 13. April in Washington den IAPP Global Privacy Summit 2022 als weltweit größte Datenschutz-Konferenz. Erstmalig wurden dieses Jahr Aufnahmen des Eröffnungsvortrages, der Hauptdebatte sowie des Schlussvortrages auf YouTube zur Verfügung gestellt.

Eröffnungsvortrag: US-Verfassungsrecht und FTC

Am 11.4.2022 startete der Eröffnungsvortrag mit Amy Gajda and Lina M. Khan.

• Über die Referenten schreibt die IAPP: Hear author of “Seek and Hide” and Class of 1937 Professor of Law at Tulane University Law School Amy Gajda followed by Chair of the Federal Trade Commission Lina M. Khan from the keynote stage at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit in Washington, D.C.
• Themen: Gajda will explore the tensions between privacy interests and First Amendment values, while Khan will deliver her first public address focused on privacy issues and the priorities she sees for the FTC.

Hauptdebatte: Apple CEO Tim Cook und EU-Justizkommissar Didier Reynders

Am 12.4.2022 fand die Hauptdebatte mit Tim Cook, Zahra Mosawi, Didier Reynders und Trevor Hughes statt.

• Über die Referenten schreibt die IAPP: IAPP CEO Trevor Hughes will introduce headline keynote, Apple CEO Tim Cook. Zahra Mosawi, the former commissioner of the Access to Information Commission of Afghanistan and European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders complete the session’s keynote lineup.
• Themen: Hughes kicks off this first full day of the conference with a state-of-the-association update. Apple CEO Tim Cook will lend his influential voice to the event’s powerful dialogue on privacy and trust in the digital economy. Mosawi will speak about her experience working to establish freedom of expression and information rights for the Afghan people. And Reynders will discuss his role promoting Europe’s fundamental right to personal data protection.

Schlussvortrag: Datenschutz und Technologie-Entwicklung

Am 13.4.2022 fand der Schlussvortrag mit Brad Smith, Neil Richards, Julia Angwin und Cecilia Kang statt.

• Über die Referenten schreibt die IAPP: Microsoft President & Vice Chair Brad Smith opens the day ahead of a panel with Koch Distinguished Professor in Law at Washington University School of Law Neil Richards, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of The Markup Julia Angwin and New York Times National Technology Correspondent Cecilia Kang.
• Themen: Smith has been a vocal proponent of the tech sector assuming more responsibility and governments moving faster to address challenges new technologies are creating. Our journalist panel will dive deep into the convergence of privacy and technology right now, and in the future.
